I have always loved the concept of shooting portraits of people in their homes, there is something so deeply personal and authentic about observing how people behave in their own space. When I lived in Brisbane, the majority of my uni student days were spent in old Queenslanders of varying conditions and later as a professional I had the pleasure of residing in Queenslanders that had been newly renovated. Regardless of their condition, all the old Queenslanders have their own unique charm, so it was a delight to shoot Fergus and Kathleen’s engagement shoot in their gorgeous, inner suburbs abode. We had the additional pleasure of including their fur baby Molly in the shoot! During our time together, Fergus retold the story of how he proposed to Kathleen on their very own living room floor! It was everything I loved about a good engagement shoot location, personal and filled with character. Check it out below!
