So it was just over a week ago that two cars travelled over three hours to Cactus Country for our latest ShootOut Challenge. For those only new to the game ShootOut is a challenge set up for photographers to push themselves creatively. The rules are “Two Photographers (well we broke THAT rule with this challenge) One Location One Subject”. Fellow photographers Stina, Dijana and I have always wanted to shoot at Cactus Country and thought it would be an interesting challenge to shoot just a single person. As wedding photographers we are all so used to shooting interactions. When we ‘pose’ on our wedding day our jobs are really just to help promote interesting connections between our couples (and their friends and family on the day) and then document that. What would happen if you had just one person in a frame. How would you direct that person? What would make a good photo? Well here are my results!
We had an amazing team to help us pull the idea together. Make sure you scroll to the end of the post for the full vendor credits! Also are you interested in seeing how the other photographers interpreted the same location? Check it out below.
